I recently presented my results from a prospective study of 400 eyes treated with the Moria One Use-Plus SBK microkeratome.1,2
In this study, corneal flap thickness was measured in four meridians
using AS-OCT by three independent, masked observers. Central flap
thickness averaged:

  • 97.35 ± 7.80 µm in the right eye (first cut)
  • 95.07 ± 11.08 µm in the left eye (second cut)
  • range of 80 to 120 µm, which is clearly outstanding
  • nasal and temporal flap thickness measured 3.0 mm on either side of the corneal apex, and was 104 µm on average.

All flaps were beautifully formed, with Bowman’s membrane, the flap
margins, and the basement membrane clearly visible. I am confident I am
providing the best care, making the best flaps, and respecting the
integrity and physiology of corneal tissue. I am working also working
cost-effectively.
